I love to apply a facial mask to detox my skin. One of my favorites is Dead Sea Mud. First of all, you can't talk about the mud without mentioning the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea originated five million years ago and is bordered by Jordan to the east and Israel and Palestine to the west. The Dead Sea is the deepest hypersaline lake in the world. It is almost ten times salty as the ocean, and one of the world's saltiest bodies of water. This unique geographical phenomenon was caused by a volcanic eruption; it is a mineral salt lake.
Over thousands of years, layer upon layer of sedimentary clay has formed as the bottom of the sea, trapping a high concentration of minerals proven to be helpful in maintaining healthy, young-looking skin. Dead Sea Mud is unique due to its high concentrations of salts and minerals. It is alive with a wealth beneficial salts and minerals, including potassium, calcium and magnesium among others. The use of Dead Sea mud has been studied in connection with health benefits and healing properties for physical ailments.Symptoms of skin disorders such as psoriasis, eczema and acne can be controlled by using Dead Sea mud. Its rich mineral content accelerates natural exfoliation and restores your skin's pH balance. Additionaly, enveloping the body in Dead Sea mud forms a sealing layer over the skin that helps infuse it with the minerals, cleansing and purifying it efficiently and restoring its natural balance
A Dead Sea mud is famous for its detoxifying and therapeutic effects. I mean, people travel to Israel from all over the world just to spread its this amazing and beautiful mud all over their bodies and faces. I love how this mud mask can improve the appearance of your facial skin by improving elasticity and minimizing pores, wrinkles and lines. When it dries, toxins that may be present in your skin cells from your everyday diet are drawn out. Your face will feel clean and refreshed.
Benefits of Dead Sea Mud Mask
I have listed how to created your own Dead Sea mud mask with essential oils to renew your facial skin:
DIY MUD MASK
2 Tablespoon of Dead Sea Mineral Mud
3-4 Drops of Rosemary Essential Oil
3-4 Drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil
In small bowl combine the dead sea mud and essential oils. Mix well to combine the oils with the mud.
Apply a thin layer directly on your face, avoiding your eyes, nose and lips. Leave this on for a intensive moisturizing treat for up to 15 minutes. Rinse and wash the mask away with warm water and a soft cloth. Follow up with your favorite toner and facial moisturizer.
In just a few minutes after applying this mask I feel a tingling effect. I am always happy with the results. My face looks fresher, brighter, smoother and is super soft.
